Shaping insightful, intelligent, and virtuous leaders who compel themselves and others to excellence for the glory of God.
Letter From the Founding Families
To the Residents of Vicksburg-Warren County and Surrounding Communities,
We consider it an incredible privilege to be part of this community alongside you — a community strengthened by our shared experiences and the beauty of doing life together. The true essence of our community lies in its people, and it is through God's work in each individual that Vicksburg becomes a remarkable place to call home. The Lord has placed each of us here, perhaps for such a time as this.
Almost two years ago, the Lord began to unite four families with a shared calling to establish a school within our community that is distinctly classical, decidedly Christian, and dedicated to excellence — a school committed to teaching and practicing those things the Bible proclaims as good, true, and beautiful, cultivating young men and women who think critically, believe courageously, and serve compassionately for God's Kingdom and glory. While this endeavor has been undeniably daunting, we have witnessed the Lord’s guidance at every turn. We are honored to step out in faith, trusting in His continued provision as we prepare to open the doors of Trinitas Classical School.
Our prayer is that the Lord will bring staff and families to Trinitas who will share in our mission to cultivate lifelong learners dedicated to serving Him with joy. To the students of Trinitas, our goal is to shape insightful, intelligent, and godly individuals who contribute positively to their families, churches, and communities. To the parents of Trinitas, we aspire to partner with you in the vital task of educating your children and nurturing their unique talents and abilities. To the teachers, faculty, and staff of Trinitas, we are committed to providing a supportive work environment that enables you to pursue your passion for making a meaningful impact in the world and to fully embrace your calling to education.
May we teach our children that our God is a God of truth and that truth is knowable.
In Christ,
The Founding Families of Trinitas

“Education is not a subject, and it does not deal in subjects. It is instead the transfer of a way of life.”
– G.K. Chesterton
What way of life do we seek to transfer to the next generation?
Our Educational Approach
Classical Christian education (CCE) is a time-tested educational approach that seeks to address the passage of knowledge, beliefs, and values from one generation to the next. By exploring the significant ideas of Western civilization and allowing the illumination of Scripture to guide these discussions, wisdom and virtue become central components of classroom dialogue and student learning. This approach shifts the emphasis of education from merely what we know to who we are becoming.
On a foundational level, the classical model employs three stages of learning. These stages notably align with a child’s developmental strengths and build naturally on one another.

- Grammar – Grammar in this context is defined as the fundamental rules of each subject. Classical education capitalizes on these formative years of a child’s developmental window by establishing a solid foundation for learning through memorization, repetition, and acquisition of concrete concepts.
- Logic – Logic is defined as the art and science of reasoning well. As its name implies, the logic phase helps students to make sense of the world around them. The study of formal logic (fallacies and syllogisms) begins in this phase of learning, and the arts of conversation, inquiry, and debate begin to emerge. Students are equipped to seek and wrestle with knowledge as we study the “why” and “how” of each subject.
- Rhetoric – Rhetoric is defined as the art of winsome and effective communication through speaking and writing. Characterized by wisdom, rhetoric is the final application of knowledge and understanding in the classical model. It is within this stage that students learn to synthesize information to form and articulate their own opinions – opinions that are built upon the rules of learning (Grammar), with sound reasoning (Logic), and within the framework of the absolute truth of God’s word.
The classical framework of grammar, logic, and rhetoric parallel with the biblical exhortation to seek knowledge (grammar), understanding (logic), and wisdom (rhetoric). At each stage subjects are taught as an integrated whole with Scripture at the center (2 Corinthians 10:5). These principles and phases are applicable to all areas of education and provide a framework for deeper learning across various disciplines. They provide an understanding of order within the universe that equips students to develop abstract reasoning skills and to think critically and competently in literature, history, science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), and the creative arts. This teaching method nurtures the human soul by instilling virtue, ordering loves, providing structure and accountability, and creating a culture focused on believing truth, creating beauty, and embodying goodness.
All knowledge begins with God, and therefore God’s Word is the foundation of our educational philosophy. Scripture embodies truth and informs our entire curriculum. As Christians we believe that all truth is God’s truth, therefore there is no arena or area of knowledge excluded from the lordship of Christ. God has created people with the capacity to know, think, feel, and act. When we inspire our students to wonder at the world around them, wonder turns to awe and revelation as their journey leads them to their Creator. Classical Christian education recognizes the nature of mankind and seeks to bring God’s revelation to bear on their hearts.
“For I do not seek to understand in order that I may believe, but I believe in order to understand.” ― St. Anselm

Trinitas believes:
- All education is for God’s Glory and God’s Will (1 Corinthians 10:31; Hebrews 4:12).
- The purpose of education is to glorify God by equipping students to grow into Christlikeness and be prepared to accomplish his will. The Creator has endowed people with the capacity to know, think, feel, and act. Education recognizes that nature of mankind and seeks to bring God’s revelation to bear on their hearts.
- All education recognizes that Authority of Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
- God’s Word is the foundation of all our educational mindset. God’s Spirit inspired the Bible to guide us in what to know and how to live. Scripture is the truth and speaks to all our curriculum.
- All education recognizes that students bear the image of God (Genesis 1:26-28; Psalm 139:13-16)
- Education must speak to the heart (intellect, will, emotions). True knowledge forms the heart to love God through Jesus Christ by reflecting his likeness. Education must develop the unique gifts Christ’s Spirit gives to each student.
- All education is to form Christlike qualities (Proverbs 1:7; Galatians 5:22-26; Colossians 2:6-7)
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. Biblical education seeks to form virtue and Christlike character in the pupil as an informed, discerning, and responsible Christian adult. Fear of the Lord is the way to wisdom. Proper posture before God is essential to a fruitful education and godly living.
- In Loco Parentis (Deuteronomy 6; Ephesians 6)
- Scripture calls parents to educate their children. Trinitas, therefore, exists as a co-laborer with parents in fulfilling this duty. Educators must be delegates of the parents, assisting them in educating their children but never usurping their God-given parental responsibility.
The Great Commandment
“Jesus answered, ‘The most important is Hear O’ Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these” Mark 12:30-31.
“Fully loving God and obeying the Great Commandment requires actively engaging the mind in the pursuit of truth. Humans need the divine transcendent perspective of God and the knowledge of his redemptive history to move beyond their fallen limitations, grow in sanctification and live abundant lives as God intends,” (ESV Bible) Therefore, the foundation of our educational philosophy rests on God’s Word, which is inspired by His Spirit to guide our understanding. True knowledge forms the heart to love God through Jesus Christ and rightly order our lives.
We want our children to know the Scriptures—so they may profit from its teaching, reproofs, corrections, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). Above all, we want our children to know Christ—in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3).
- All education is for God’s Glory and God’s Will (1 Corinthians 10:31; Hebrews 4:12).
At Trinitas, our goal is to learn to recognize and delight in excellence. In Ephesians 5:1, Paul instructs the church to be imitators of God – the highest standard of excellence – reflecting Him in all spheres of life. In doing so we bring Him glory by revealing His character to others. By honoring the divine standards and disciplines outlined in Scripture, we begin to understand how excellence represents a deep reverence for God. Standards serve not merely as boundaries but as declarations of identity. Our actions and choices reflect our beliefs. To truly realize, embrace, and delight in excellence requires a profound love for Christ and a commitment to walk in obedience. In this light, excellence becomes a form of worship and ministry – leading us in our efforts to fulfill both the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. In excellence, may we glorify God, advance The Gospel, and love other well through our work, our attitudes, our discipline, and the stewardship of our time, talents, and intellect.

Discipline is one trait required for excellence – a path for high and loving standards to meet obedience. While discipline can take on many definitions and forms, self discipline, from a biblical perspective, is most notably defined as obedience. In more a broad sense, it can be defined as the capacity to correct or regulate one’s behavior based on principles and sound judgment, rather than on impulse, desire, or social norms. Exercising self-discipline involves adhering to the high and loving standards established by God as to avoid wrongdoing and harm. These parameters not only provide protection, they provide a structure in which we can train our hearts and mind to love the things of God. Self-discipline is not a destination, rather a process in which are are trained and refined. “Do not be conformed to this world,[a] but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2
Correction is another form of discipline, one that plays a crucial role in cultivating wisdom. As such, it is a welcome and necessary part of any excellent education. As stated in Proverbs:
- “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.” Proverbs 12:1
- “He whose ear listens to life-giving reproof will dwell among the wise. He who neglects discipline despises himself, but he who listens to reproof acquires understanding” Proverbs 15:31-32
- “Listen to counsel and accept discipline, that you may be wise the rest of your days. ” Proverbs 19:20
Correction and counsel are essential to gaining knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. Trinitas Classical School aims to teach the whole student — mind, will, and affections — to seek excellence. The establishment of Godly standards and a practice of discipline enables students to embrace what God has established as true, good, and beautiful so that they may live full, rich, and joyful lives.
“It is my prayer that your love may abound more and more with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory of God.” (Philippians 1:9)
